Arthur Marriott is a Queen's Counsel and Solicitor Advocate. A partner with Leboeuf, Lamb, Greene and Macrae. He is qualified as a solicitor in both England and Hong Kong, was appointed Queen's Counsel and a Deputy High Court Judge in 1997, and has been President of the Mental Health Review Tribunals since 2000. He is a Chartered Arbitrator, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and an accredited mediator with the ADR Group. He is a member of the Mediation Sub-Committee of the Civil Justice Council, and of the Steering Committees for the Pilot Mediation Schemes for both the Court of Appeal and the Central London County Court. He is a member of the Council of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration, the Board of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and the London Court of International Arbitration. He is co-author (with Henry Brown) of "ADR Principles and Practice" (1993 & 1999) and co-editor of "Handbook of Arbitration Law and Practice". He has conducted numerous major commercial arbitrations and mediations, involving many multi-party, international disputes.
