Bill Wood is a member of leading commercial set, Brick Court Chambers. His litigation practice centres on insurance and reinsurance, aviation, professional negligence and general commercial disputes. He is recommended for both insurance and aviation work by each of the two main legal directories. He was appointed QC in 1999.

He trained as a mediator in 1999 with CEDR and is now an accredited CEDR mediator and member of the CEDR faculty. He has a growing mediation practice and at present mediates roughly fifty disputes each year. The majority are insurance or reinsurance disputes. He has also dealt with a number of disputes over rights to data in the sports world, company acquisition disputes, professional negligence claims and disputes in the education sector.

Bill lectures on mediation both here and abroad. His articles on mediation are published in The Lawyer. Both of the main legal directories recommend him as a mediator.
